New Zealand via the Noordam
Booking was a 14 night cruise from Sydnet to 9 ports in New Zealand and return with Holland America. Booking cruise was very easy and flights from wide bay to Sydney easily arranged. Cabins on the Noordam are well arranged and roomy. Bed was large and very comfortable. Food was terrific. Noordam offers a number of dining options ranging from casual to formal. Alaskan crab legs, Salmon, lobster tails and no added sugar desserts make eating a pleasure. Happy hour each afternoon was a relaxing time. Entertainment via the on board shows was first class. Port visits were for about 10 hours each. Lots of free or public transport from harbours into town. We booked a number of shore excursions through the ship . These were very interesting and showed the sights of each port with great guides however tended to be overpriced when compared to the book from the dock options. New Zealand offers great coffee , food and wine with very friendly folk. Weather in Feb ranged from short sleeves to light jumpers depending on where you were. New Zealand is worth a look. Great value on this cruise.
